Our story
Spider Monkey’s Bake Shoppe got started in 2016, but we didn’t really take off and get running until the Fall of 2019. Jaime has always had a love for baking and after being told for years that she should sell her cinnamon rolls and baked goods she decided to take the dive.
We are Registered Cottage Food Producers with the state of Minnesota. That means that we can bake from our home and sell non-potentially hazardous items. We are not a brick and mortar store which means you do have to place an order and schedule a pick-up. You can also find us every Thursday from May-Oct at the Farmington Farmer’s Market.
This has become a family affair and you can often find Andrew in the kitchen mixing cookie dough, rolling out cookies or even baking! Our daughter Emma also helps in the kitchen with the baking and making cocoa bombs in the colder months. You can also find our son Eric helping pack, set up and take down when we do markets and events.
Why Spider Monkey’s?
We got our name from Jaime’s childhood nickname. Her grandfather saw her for the first time and she was a long, lanky, little baby and he said “that’s my spider monkey!” He called her that for the rest of his life. We thought it was a fun memorable name and a great way to honor Jaime’s connection to her family.

We take pride in creating beautiful and delicious cookies and other treats that will make your special occasion even more special. We also believe that baking should be fun, and we enjoy creating new and exciting recipes that our customers will love.

As a registered cottage food producer with the State of Minnesota, Spider Monkey's Bake Shoppe adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety.
