🍪 Cookie Decorating Classes at Spider Monkey’s Bake Shoppe

Our cookie decorating classes are designed to be fun, relaxed, and beginner-friendly — no experience required! Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, or for a special event, you’ll leave with beautifully decorated cookies and new skills you can use at home.

What to Expect in a Class

Each class is a guided, hands-on experience where you’ll:

  • Decorate 4–6 themed sugar cookies (depending on the class)

  • Learn royal icing basics including flooding, outlining, and simple details

  • Use pre-baked cookies, pre-colored icing, and all supplies provided

  • Follow along step-by-step at a comfortable pace

  • Take home your decorated cookies, plus tips you can reuse

Classes typically run 90–120 minutes, depending on the theme and group size.

Most classes range from $50–$60 per person, which includes:

  • Cookies

  • Icing & supplies

  • Instruction

  • Packaging to take your cookies home

Private Cookie Decorating Classes

Perfect for birthdays, showers, team events, Galentine’s nights, or just an excuse to eat cookies together.

WHAT IT IS

Looking for a fun, hands-on experience for your group? Private cookie decorating classes are fully guided, beginner-friendly, and completely stress-free.

I bring everything you need — pre-baked cookies, icing, sprinkles, tools, and instruction — so all you have to do is show up and have fun. You’ll decorate your own set of cookies and take them home at the end of class.

No baking experience required.

Private Class Details:

• Minimum of 6 participants

• Classes run approximately 1.5–2 hours

• Hosted at your location or select partner venues

• Beginner-friendly and fun for ages 6+

• All supplies included — no prep required

Travel fees may apply for locations outside Farmington, MN.

Upcoming Spring Classes to Look Forward too!

Who doesn’t love getting out and doing something fun while also eating delicious cookies!?

That’s what Spider Monkey’s Bake Shoppe is all about!  

These classes are based in and around Lakeville/Farmington MN and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.  

For our classes, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and I’ll take care of the rest. Oh – and bring eyeglasses so you can see the instructional PowerPoint if your eyesight is anything like mine. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them during the 1.5 to 2 hour class. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies! 

A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since October 2016 (teaching classes since Dec. 2022) – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are Spring, Holiday and Summer – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!
